It's been a long time since I've had access to my main computer and, along with it, my video editing software. But this evening I couldn't resist the urge to put together a Book Trailer for Changeling. March 16th is the 1 year anniversary of Changeling's Release, and I may or may not have something special up my sleeve... For now, enjoy this brief glimpse into the world of Changeling ^_^ Fey go missing in the mortal realm. Everyone knows that. When Lizzy's mother is the next to vanish she's expected to grieve and move on. Instead Lizzy wants to find out what happened, but the answers she seeks can't be found in the fey realm of Arbaon. With the help of her best friend, Booker Reed, Lizzy's determined to retrace her mother's final steps... straight through an illegal portal and into the mortal realm. Whatever leads she expected to find, it wasn't an academy of vampires, and a world stalked by their rabid cousins, the kavians. Forced to rely on the vampires for protection, and secluded away behind the high walls of Speculo School, it quickly becomes clear not everyone is pleased with Lizzy and Booker's investigation. With danger building the further they dig, the two fey need to decide if the closure they seek is worth risking their lives for. But the longer they remain amongst the vampires, the more Lizzy begins to suspect that her answers instead lie with the deadly kavians. Changeling is available now at all your favourite online stores

While ‘Over The Dragon’s Gate’ starts off a little slower than I’d usually like, this co-written story gives you enough hints, enough clues, and enough thoughtfully teased out tidbits to keep its readers engaged and invested.
Much like one of our main characters, Treya, there’s an underlying sense that there’s more to this than meets the eye, and the authors cleverly reveal it all to the reader alongside Treya as he discovers the parts of himself that he’s forgotten. The Signature Move is the first contemporary romance of Cassandra Diviak’s that I’ve delved into and I have to say I’m not in any way disappointed. While I wouldn’t call ‘Sports Romance’ my preferred genre, Diviak is able to bring characters to life with a vivacity that grabs you immediately.
The Signature Move explores themes of domestic violence, parental neglect and emotional abuse, eating disorders, and the worst kind of ex-boyfriend, but with a light, delicate, touch that handles the difficult subject matters with care and careful consideration... Chronicles of the Dawnblade, Book Four I have so much to say about this book and ALL of it is good!
If you’ve been following my reviews of this Epic Fantasy Adventure by Andrew Claydon, you’ll know that the beginning of Book 3 had left me a little unsteady about the tone the series was taking, but while ‘The Odd Sea’ recovered in the second half, ‘Wrath and Wraiths” has blown all of my concerns out of the water from Chapter One. It’s a masterpiece of storytelling, once again filled to the brim with Claydon’s unmistakeably humor. Dry, witty, and a joy to read, and even though the middle of November is the busiest time of my year, once I dipped a toe inside the front cover, I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the whole book. Thank you so much to Sarah from The Reading Nook for hosting an author interview with me for the launch of Changeling! Tell us a little about yourself and what got you into writing?
I live in the South East of England with my cat, Litha, and am lucky enough to have my parents and older brother living nearby too. Straight out of highschool I trained as an IT Technician, but it was always intended to be a holdover job until I could get my work published. After college, I had some part time positions, but ultimately ill-health took me off the job market full time. I’ve only recently been able to claw my way back into writing regularly, and it’s culminated in my debut novel. I don’t really know of a time when I wasn’t telling stories. The first time I remember writing a complete story, I was about eight years old and I wrote ‘Rosie the Rabbit Goes on an Adventure’ for my english lesson, but I was telling stories much earlier than that, before I could write. I remember using old toys and bringing out a new one every time a new character turned up. I don’t recall if I was telling the story aloud, or just to myself in my head, but I must have been about 1 or 3 years old. I fell in love with books early, and storytelling has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Potioneering for Love and Profit I received a free copy of this book from the author, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. However, I now have a paperback copy on order because Holy Sh-- this was so good!!
R. K. Ashwick made herself comfortable on my list of favourite authors after her debut novel, 'The Stray Spirit'. There's a freshness to her authorial voice that makes her books an utter delight to read, and time slips away from me the moment I start the first page. With 'A Rival Most Vial' she's cemented her spot in my top ten favourite authors. I didn't anticipate buying any paperbacks this year, I've got bills and a holiday to save for, but I simply had to shuffle around some finances to add this one to my shelf. If you're familiar with the process, and want to read an early copy of Changeling then you can head on over to my googleform and sign up... "But wait, Ari! |
